Dry Needling
Our principal, Sebby Balsamo, is qualified to perform dry needling. This involves inserting acupuncture needles into trigger points in the muscles and is an effective technique for relieving muscle tension and pain.
Electrotherapy
Ultrasound and TENS are examples of electrotherapy modalities. There is limited scientific evidence to support using electrotherapy as a treatment by itself. That’s why, at Achieve Physio, we always use electrotherapy in combination with other treatments such as manual therapy and exercise.
Strapping
Our physiotherapists may use strapping or taping as part of treatment to prevent re-injury, de-load a painful structure or correct a biomechanical issue such as a flat foot type. Our physiotherapists can also provide strapping services for athletes pre-competition.
Manual Therapy/Mobilisation
At Achieve Physio, we have a ‘hands on’ approach to treatment. We use a variety of manual therapy techniques such as massage, joint mobilisations and muscle energy techniques to reduce pain and increase range of motion before we prescribe an exercise program.
General Physiotherapy
Although we specialise in sports, you don’t have to be an athlete to come to Achieve Physio. Most of our clients are people with general injuries and conditions.
Sports Physiotherapy
At Achieve Physio, we understand you want to get back to doing what you love as soon as possible. Our physiotherapists have worked with local and elite sporting clubs. Our Principal, Sebby Balsamo, has over 30 years experience and toured extensively with sports teams.
